I went out shooting with all the new camera gear . . . and ended up at a pond in a local park that I hadn’t been to in years. My husband and I arrived at the park around 5pm when the light was just beautiful. I took this shot using my D800E and the 70-200mm 2.8 VR II on a tripod. I was really going for the reflections in the pond. When I opened it up in LR4 I was quite surprised to see this little turtle sitting in the grass! For an example of how good this camera is . . I’m including the cropped photo of the turtle. My focus wasn’t on him, it was on the water vegetation, but you can see still how clear he is and the pixel detail. Quite amazing.
