My self imposed “retreat” here on the Island of Kauai is grinding to an end. We fly to the San Francisco Bay Area tomorrow to spend Christmas with family. This time here has felt like a personal Photography retreat, as my husband and I have just immersed ourselves in the craft of learning new techniques and trying to see things from totally different perspectives. It’s been so much fun doing this with my best friend at my side. These shots were taken at the Limahuli Botanical Gardens – a tropical Preserve built upon ancient Hawaiian terraces, preserving and showcasing many indigenous species, as well as many introduced species.
